These products have allowed Iran to be at the forefront of biotechnology production. Other countries now depend on Iran for medical trade. Biotechnology has the potential to create a range of medical advances in Iran. If a country achieves leadership in biomedical technology, the benefits to its economy and citizens are numerous.

Just this year, a group of scientists announced they had developed Fenosha, an herbal remedy for epilepsy. It has been successful in clinical trials.
The drug’s developer, Reza Mazloom Farsibaf, says no other drug can match Fenosha. This treatment is non-toxic and has minimal side effects and symptoms. If approved, we can expect mass production of Fenosha. Herbal medicine could be a viable option for her 340 million people worldwide who need treatment for epilepsy. The country is expected to continue developing products that further strengthen its position in healthcare
