With the signing of this memorandum, the cost of health tourists will be reduced by 30% due to the absence of intermediaries.

He continued: Based on this memorandum, the Institute of Martyrs of the Republic of Iraq sends its patients to Mashhad University of Medical Sciences for treatment, and the university provides the services needed by the patients based on the regulations of the Ministry of Health and approved tariffs.

The director of health tourism of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences said: This university, in line with the development of the health tourism industry, with the two goals of attracting these tourists and also increasing the income of public and private hospitals licensed to accept health tourists (IPD), concluded a cooperation memorandum in the direction of guidance. direct the patient to the treatment centers.

Khoshshekan added: Since the beginning of the year, many memorandums of understanding have been concluded with Iraq, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and other countries in the field of health tourism, and the latest action was taken with the Institute of Martyrs of the Republic of Iraq, which has 350,000 martyrs defending the shrine and 1,500,000 martyrs. It covers thousands of martyr families, a cooperation memorandum has been signed.

He added: This year, the number of hospitals licensed to accept health tourists (IPD) of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences has reached 19 hospitals, and this number has reached 32 with limited surgical cases and clinics.

The Director of Health Tourism of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences said: In our work program, four hospitals and seven clinics and clinics are in the process of receiving IPD licenses so that they can be active in accepting and treating health tourists, and it should be noted that these licenses are direct and It is issued after obtaining the necessary points from the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education.

Khoshshekan added: During the blessed ten days of Fajr, the hospitals of this university will have a prominent presence in the 16th international exhibition of tourism and related industries that will be held in Tehran.

He continued: In this exhibition, the latest achievements in the field of tourism are displayed in various sectors, including the health field, and licensed medical complexes from different parts of the country, including Khorasan Razavi and Mashhad, are present.

By providing healthcare services in 16 Razavi Khorasan cities, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences covers 80% of the population of 6,870,000 people in this province, and the provision of healthcare services to the population of 17 other cities of this province is the responsibility of universities of medical sciences.
