The 16th Tehran International Tourism Exhibition started at the same time as the tourism exhibition. This exhibition will be held until Friday, 21st of Bahman at the place of international exhibitions in Tehran.

According Kental Travel news to ISNA, the ribbon for the opening of this exhibition was cut by Ezzatullah Zarghami, the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, accompanied by a number of foreign ambassadors of countries residing in Iran, and in this way, in a situation where travel and tourism are affected by increased costs, currency fluctuations and The recent developments of the country have faced stagnation, the travel market will prosper.

Zarghami then went on a foreign trip and visited tourism and handicraft booths with the welcome of musicians and music groups.

16 halls have been dedicated to the tourism and handicraft exhibition, which can be visited in four days from 9 am to 4 pm.

According to the announcement of the Vice-President of Tourism in this year’s exhibition, representatives from Russia, Iraq, Pakistan, Turkey, Qatar, Tajikistan, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Guinea, Vietnam, Japan and Venezuela are present, most of them aim to attract Iranian tourists on the eve of Nowruz holiday.

On the sidelines of this exhibition, specialized workshops, training courses and round tables will be held.

Also, 150 meters of the exhibition space has been allocated to students of tourism and handicrafts.

This year’s exhibition, like the previous ones, has dedicated a special section to health tourism.

Halls 6, 7, 8, 9 and 27 of Tehran International Exhibition are dedicated to handicraft products and activities. Maryam Jalali, Deputy of Handicrafts, also said that according to Note 18, a loan for the purchase of handicrafts is given with an interest of 8 to 12%, but she has not explained the details of how and the terms of payment yet.

A caravan of historic cars will be present in the exhibition area every day, along with travel vans.

Like every year, part of the exhibition space is dedicated to nomadic tents that display their lifestyle and products.

Ardabil, which was introduced as the tourism capital of ECO member countries this year, also started its activity at the same time as the opening of this exhibition and with the presence of the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts in the booth of this province.

The tourism exhibition is held every year in February to be an opportunity to check travel destinations and plan for Nowruz trips.
