good news of the United Nations about the statistics
According to Kental Travel , quoted by Isna, the World Tourism Organization based in Madrid announced in a report that 917 million international tourists arrived last year, which increased from 455 million in 2021, and called it stronger than expected results.

While the number of international arrivals last year was still only 63% of the level recorded in 2019 before the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the UN predicts that this figure will reach 80-95% in 2023.

The report states that looking ahead, international tourism is set to consolidate its improvement in 2023, especially from Asia and the Pacific.

Europe, the world’s most popular destination region, recorded 585 million travelers last year, nearly 80 percent of pre-pandemic levels.

Africa and the Americas only recovered about 65 percent of pre-pandemic visitors, while the Pacific region only reached 23 percent due to stronger pandemic-related restrictions.
