Like Ferdowsi, Ya’qūb Layth has a great right to preserve Persian language, because 200 years after the arrival of Islam in Iran and when it wasn’t common to speak Persian, he chose Persian as the official language of Iran.

Like Ferdowsi, Ya’qūb Layth has a great right to preserve Persian language, because 200 years after the arrival of Islam in Iran and when it wasn’t common to speak Persian, he chose the Persian language as the official language of Iran, he didn’t allow anyone to speak anything but Persian in the court.

Ya’qūb Layth, born in Sistan, was the first king of Saffarid dynasty who liberated a large part of Iran with his bravery.

The tomb of this great man is located on Dezful-Shushtar road, in Shah Abu ol Qasem Village, and is considered one of the most important attractions in Iran, but unfortunately, it has been neglected by the authorities and many people have not even heard the name of Ya’qūb Layth, let alone visiting his tomb.
