Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines Resume Flights to Iran | March 1, 2025

In a major development for international travel, Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines have officially resumed their flights to Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran.

According to Chalandri, the Chairman and CEO of Imam Khomeini Airport City, flights from both airlines will resume on a scheduled basis:

• Lufthansa flights restart on March 1, 2025 (11 Esfand 1403)

• Austrian Airlines flights restart on March 2, 2025 (12 Esfand 1403

These airlines had previously suspended flights to Iran, but the restrictions have now been lifted. The return of Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines is expected to boost connectivity, making travel between Iran and Europe easier for business travelers, tourists, and expatriates.
