Introduction of Abbasian Historical House
Abbasian house is one of Kashan’s tourist attractions, that is why it is famous among domestic and foreign tourists. This historic house is one of the buildings from Qajar period, which was built in 20 years by Haj Mohammad Ebrahim Tajer Kashi, one of the famous porcelain and crystal merchants in Kashan. The construction started around 1829. This large house with 5,000 m2 foundation and an area of 7,000 m2 comprises five courtyards and five floors.
Abbasian historical house has five courtyards and sunken courtyards, which after the death of its original owner, was separated over time and becomes five independent houses.
Among the most obvious and valuable features of this historical monument, plasterworks and painting decorations, rasmi-bandi, muqarnas, Yazdi-bandi and Girih tiles can be mentioned which dazzle the eyes of every viewer by its elegance and beauty.
So far, four parts of this house have been purchased and renovated, two of which have been preserved in the form of sunken courtyard, a two-story house with an enclosed courtyard, and a house has been preserved with a traditional courtyard. The main difference between this house and mansions like Tabatabaei and Borujerdi houses is the type of building, as if it is like protruded from the ground; because the first floor is under the ground level.
Abbasian house in Kashan, despite its simple non-luxurious entrance, surprises every viewer in the interior with its beautiful art and architecture. This house was built introverted according to the hot-dry climate of the region and its area is so large that you might even lose your way while exploring. In addition, special attention has been paid to the functional details of the spaces; there is even an independent space for hanging the meat so that the cats cannot reach it.
Abbasian house was registered in Iran national heritage list in 1998 and it is currently covered by Kashan Recreational Sports and Cultural Organization of the Municipality, and a part of it belongs to Sohrab Sepehri institute.

Abbasi restaurant, located in the fifth courtyard of Abbasian house, has a completely traditional and historical environment that excites every tourist.
Unique paintings and traditional bed couches, small ponds with beautiful fountains, carpets with Persian designs, etc., all work together to make you a memorable time in this unique environment. All kinds of traditional Iranian and local Kashan dishes, special Dizi, lamb kebab, Kabab koobideh, Goosht-loobia (bean meat), and local doogh can be found in the menu of this restaurant.

The inner part was called Masoudi Far, the outer part was called Abbasian, Howzkhaneh was called Haqqani, garden house was called Taqavi, and the crew section was called Abbasi.
