Kental Travel – Journalists’ Day in Iran was officially designated on the 17th of August, commemorating the martyrdom of Mahmoud Saremi, a notable Iranian journalist and the head of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) office in Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan. Mahmoud Saremi, born in 1968 in Borujerd, was tragically killed during the massacre of Iranian diplomats in Mazar-i-Sharif in 1998.

This day recognizes the significant role that journalists play in conveying news, information, and stories to the public.
